<snip>

Murat Kurnaz, 24, who was released in August because of lack of evidence that he was involved in terrorist activities, said he endured many types of torture.

"From electric shocks to having one's head submerged in water, (subjection to) hunger and thirst, or being shackled and suspended," Kurnaz said, listing the alleged abuses he faced while a detainee at Camp X-Ray in Cuba.

<snip>

"They tell you 'you are from Al-Qaeda' and when you say 'no' they give the (electric) current to your feet.... As you keep saying 'no' this goes on for two or three hours," he said, adding he had several times lost consciousness," Kurnaz said.

<snip>

"I saw several people die," he said. "Sometimes I thought I could no longer stand it and would also die."

He claimed he was once left without food for 20 days and spoke of psychological abuse, including "religious insults" such as the Koran being kicked on the ground.

6. young man!
My daughter is about to turn 20yrs old. It sickens me that something like this can happen to her. He is 24 now and was trasfered to Guantanamo in 2002. Doesn't say when in 2002. And it only says he was picked up after the 9/11 attack. It's been 5 years since 9/11. If he is 24 now, he was 19 then. 19-20 when he showed up at Guantnamo. And he has endured Guantanamo since 2002. Around 4 years of abuse.

And we had NOTHING on this kid. But wanted him to confess.. so he could be proven guilty. That is most likely the situation after holding these people for so long.

I don't know who is sicker. those who did it, on orders (military personal who had to be brainwashed in order to follow orders) or the 'civilians' who thinks what is happening in Guantanamo is perfectly resonable because it's happenign to terrorist. These persons have NOT had to endure 'brainwashing' to follow orders. They are thinking this way on their own.

What this group of sickos don't get... Terrorist are not MUSLUMS. Terrorist are not ARABS. The government has this knowledge, but these fruits don't. Which means they are clueless to the REALITY that they to can be jerked up and put into Guantanamo. And that they too, can be stuck in there for years and their family couldn't help them.

What these freeks don't realize, is that ANYONE can be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Know the wrong person who is involved in the wrong group, making they themselfs on the 'lists.' OUr government has a very long list of groups that they considered possible terrorist groups. It doesn't take much to be listed as a 'possible' terrorist gorup. And as such, the group is watched as if they ARE a terrorist group. And when a round up happens... Look out....

Just like this kid.. abused for years.. Not a dang thing anyone can do to help him. When it happens.. it's way to late!

Sorry for the rant. I seen a sticker on a car the other day. something about sending the terrorst to Guantanmo for vaction. I nearlly got sick. I've NEVER felt that way before. Not about a bumper sticker. Not even about the 'abortion' billboards, etc.

9. They did the serious form of waterboarding...
old fashioned stuff that is deadly.

That isn't the kind of waterboarding we've been hearing about.
