They are saving the vote fraud............ |

for 2008, when they may need it for Jeb Bush. My thoery only, but this election makes everyone think things are hunky-dory and then bam, when they really need it for the important election of President, they can pull it out with no suspicions.

4. Agreed, they did try to steal the vote |
|
Witness the voter intimidation efforts in Virginia and other states where immigrants were warned to stay home. Witness the thousands of 'lost votes' in Florida. I'm sure there are many other cases of attempted voter fraud. Not sure if they counted on the overwhelming number of people showing up to vote for Dems, or the apathetic attitude of their own party's base.

5. In a presidential election, you only need a few sympathetic Secretaries of |

State to make it work; in 2000 they had Harris, in 2004 they had Blackwell to manipulate both the voting process and the final count/recount through purges, suppression/intimidation, mishandling of absentee ballots and electronic fraud. It's much harder to do in a Congressional election, which is won or lost on a district or even precinct level. There were lots of anomolies--Virginia and Montana both experienced '04-like red-shift (why do you think neither Allen nor Burns pushed for recounts?), and there were major problems in Ohio, Florida, California and no doubt numerous other states I haven't heard about. They tried, but they couldn't overcome record turnout and a tidal-wave of anti-Republican sentiment.
