1. Tommy Thompson?
If this was the reason he didn't challenge Governor Doyle or Senator Kohl, then that's great, but seriously...what constituency does he appeal to?

3. Future News
Burlington N.H. Feb, 20 2008

AP A tearful Tommy Thompson told a room full of his supporters that he
was dropping out of the race so he could spend more time with his family.

After spend over a year in the state and spending $8,000,000 in his efforts
the returns of under 2% of the vote did bode well for him.

5. So McCain and Guiliani have had multiple wives - Tommy has had
multiple girlfriends. Well known among the politically literate in Wisconsin - sure to come out eventually. His wife is a staunch Catholic, and they apparently remain friends. However they have had separate residences several times during his career - don't know about now. He has the Wisconsin Media cowed on this subject, but I suspect this is one reason he was not tapped for VP -- even though he was gunning for it.

So why his bid --- he is starved for attention.
