Have you seen the rhetoric attached to this simple vote for the second post in the Dem leadership?

Do you wonder why the Republican leadership, which split almost RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE for Lott, didn't have any of the same negative connotations in the press?

The GOP vote wasn't called bloody. The Dems was. And I have more examples if you like.
