Anti-Gay Bigots Still Calling After the Election? Who Is Still Doing This?

Well, I have finally calmed down enough to write about this. I got a call last night from "a concerned mother" (as much as she is on the phone how much time does she spend with her kids?) who is against same-sex marriage, etc.....please push one if you agree....well I have had ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT - they wanted their petition signed (Uh-hullo dumbass, its already illegal in ohio) - so when they asked for a name I said -"It's FUK YOO.... I asked him what gives anyone the right to Deny Rights to any other American, he said read the bible- what an asswipe. I said the bible is not the law of the land, try reading the Declaration, Constitution , Bill of Rights, etc. I told him that freedom of religion is also freedom FROM religion(he said EVERY religion is against gay people), not so for example the United Church of Christ, he said that does not count.?..I asked him what would happen if one of his kids turned out to be gay -(this is when I truly wanted to strangle the idiot, he said, "my kids will never be gay because I will teach them morals) UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE...my mom (god rest her wonderful soul) taught me to treat others as I would like to be treated, help the poor and the sick - NOT TO HATE ANYONE DIFFERENT THAN MYSELF....wtf is wrong with these people (I use the term loosely) Other tidbits from moran central - people aren't born gay - its a choice (then he said its a sickness - so then asswipe it wouldn't be a choice would it?), there is no evolution, death penalty & war are ok abortion is not.....

I am on the do not call list and these jerks just keep calling, even though I have asked them to stop - anyone else experiencing this?

2. Caller ID

If whoever is calling is not known by me I don't pick up. The only exception and I am going to stop that, is, private number private name. I picked up two and they were from place asking for money....I hung up and I won't answer again. I even got a call from the census. They said for me to call back and I had a case number. It was the wrong number. I went to the net and checked and they say it is a republican law passed that they are collecting information on you. They want education, how many rooms what you eat and so on and so. The questionaire is 25 pages long and if you don't answer each question they can fine you 1,000 per question. Well the next time they call I won' answer.

4. Simply dial *57 after you hang up

That immediately reports the call to the phone company as a harrassment call. If they get three of those originating from the same number to your number, they will contact the person and give them a warning. You don't even have to talk to a human being to report them.

Of course if all the calls are coming from different people (numbers), it won't do much until three calls come from the same place.

Worth a shot anyway.

Or... because you're on the no-call list, you might want to call the phone company and report the call immediately after hanging up. Violating the no-call policy in and of itself is a crime.

I also received a direct mail piece from the RNC with the twin towers on it saying that the rethugs must remain in power or the terrorists win.....(Note - I am registered independent so I get all the propaganda-that they pay for)

10. I wish they would EXPLAIN how Gay Marriage Threatens

Straight Marriage. Please tell me. I would really like to know. You see, I have lived with a gay person, my daughter, for 28 years. I also lived with my husband for 32 years. Her being gay hasn't destroyed our marriage. My gay daughter and her friends haven't "recruited" my younger daughter (22). I have welcomed her friends, both gay men and gay women, into my home, including at many family holiday dinners, for years. I would jump for joy if my daughter could some day marry the woman she has been seeing for 5 years now. I would gladly call this woman, daughter. I have no doubts whatsoever that my daughter's marriage to this woman would not destroy MY MARRIAGE. I am equally certain having raised both of these young women, that my younger daughter's life won't be "wrecked" if her sister should marry another woman.

If somebody else's sexual orientation and subsequent marriage, particularly somebody you DON'T EVEN KNOW, is enough to destroy your marriage, then YOU have serious problems and need professional help. They must be very insecure and psychotic people, indeed.
