Oooo...Carville beat a guy with a 29% favorability rating in 1992! |
|
Yeah, man, add that "notch" to your bedpost, you clown.
George H.W. Bush was the joke of the nation in '92. Michael Dukakis could have beaten him.

4. If it weren't for Ross Perot, |

I don't think he would have even accomplished that much.

Let's not take this too far. I'm mad at Carville too, but there is not a poll, nor a political scientist who has found that Bush wins without Perot in the race.

7. There actually was an analysis done |
|
that showed Perot did not change the final outcome but it would have been closer. http://www.fairvote.org/plurality/perot.htmCarville did a good job for Clinton despite all the naysaying on DU.

6. You Can Rip Carville But You're Ripping Clinton In The Process.. |
|
1) Bush beat Dukakis and carried forty states aganst him.
2) Clinton ended twelve years of GOPU misrule.
3) Many prominent Democrats like Mario Cuomo sat out 1992 because they thought Bu$h was unbeatable
4) Every available poll at the time showed Clinton beating Bu$h with or without Perot in the race
5) Clinton was the first Democratic president since FDR to win re-election
Be careful when you're shooting with buckshot you just might shoot a friend... You were probably a child during the Bush-Reagan years... There were those of us who thought they would never end and are in gratitude to Clinton for ending them...

everything that came out in that campaign. Clinton's campaign was almost torpedoed by the Gennifer Flower stuff in the primary and then by the Draft stuff in the general. He was in third place heading into the convention. Carville helped run a great campaign. Every Democrat should watch the War Room. Carville was a great consultant.
