Conservative radio and TV talk show host Glenn Beck just played a segment about propaganda in the Middle East. Now, I don't believe everything these conservatives tell us, but if even half of what he just showed is real, I know why the terrorists are coming after us.

These people are fucking brainwashed! Fox News has nothing on some of the crap I just watched.

They had a whole stick about Coca Cola wanting to overthrow the government of Iran. That sounds so looney! They had other absolutely sick stuff.

You wouldn't believe the things they said about Israel. It isn't real stuff either, this was total bullplop. Talking about some secret Jewish plot dealing with Intel.

I can understand why these people hate us, they see this bullshit on TV all the time.

Someone on our side needs to do research into the anti-American and anti-Israeli stuff shown in the ME. We need to make sure that Mr. Beck isn't full of crap himself, but I wouldn't be surprised if this stuff is true.

As soon as they started promoting that he was going to be a new host, I vowed never to watch him. As far as CNN goes, even Ted Turner has been highly critical of the path they've taken as a whole.

When MSNBC first put Tucker on, the description was 'The bow tie wearing Conservative pundit'. They've since dropped the "Conservative" label. :eyes: Matthews is celebration is sixth or seventh year of drooling over Cons, although he's getting better now that he has to contend with a Democratic Majority in both Houses.

When everything is weighed out, there is maybe ONE host of the cables that presents a viewpoint that is NOT all Conservative, all the time and that's KO!

We (England,France) carved up ME after WWI.
We installed Shah in Iran in 1953.

Our oil companies have controlled their resources.
We have supported/created dictator after dictator in order to control their oil.

Actually, its quite amazing that the ME people waited so long to get some payback..

Sectarian violence is probably the majority of that 700,000 figure. 3,000+ a month are being killed in Iraq right now, and although we enabled it with the invasion, we aren't the ones doing the killing. It's Iraqi on Iraqi, or foreign terrorist on Iraqi, which Saddam had quelled by killing hundreds of thousands on his own watch.

If those in the ME want to direct their hate toward whoever is killing the most Muslims, then the US and Israel are gonna be pretty far down the list.

Now, what justifies your hatred against Iraqis and Iranians?

Once again, never said I had anything against either. I don't think they are "bad" people. But I think they are being brainwashed to hate Jews and Americans without just cause. It's how their religious/political leaders stay in power. Find a scapegoat to blame so the people don't start blaming, god forbid, their own leaders. Did you catch the saturday morning cartoon where the hero was a suicide bomber killing Israeli soldiers? Unbelievable that they put this stuff out, and EVEN MORE unbelievable that nobody in the west is paying attention to it.

I saw a great documentary online about Arab propaganda, basically a lot of similar footage to what was just on CNN. Children as young as 5 already being taught to hate jews and the west, and to glorify suicide bombers. Some even believe that jews use the blood of gentiles to make their mots.

Elementary school teachers, parents and religious figures are all ganging up on these kid to teach them how to hate. They are completely drowning out any moderate voices the region may have. I doubt there is a single thing we can do about it either, besides funding and encouraging moderate voices of reason in the region.

Finding an alternative to oil would be good to. We need to get the hell out of the ME.

the bodies in the streets and homes they see everyday? They don't have to lie and create propaganda. People in Iraq barely have electricity and I doubt that when they do they are glued to the tube.

Fact: we invaded a ME country that wasn't a threat without provocation.
Fact:hundreds of thousands of those citizens of that country have died.
Fact: The entire country's infrastructure was destroyed and now they live in total fear, poverty and chaos.

Day after day this is their reality. Looking for any reporting on it that may make the people who caused all this look bad is such a total waste of time. How would you produce Arab television when this is happening?

I think you should concern yourself more with the propaganda here instead.
