1. Colbert cornered him about running too |
and cut the interview when Al made the statement "I said I'd run", to make it seems as if Al was declaring right then. Colbert is a timing genius!

9. He interviewed 3 Thomas Jefferson Inpersonators... |
...to see who was the best.
I think it was in the style of America's Top Model, but I don't watch that show, so I don't know for sure.

10. No, it was in the style of Project Runway |
that was the fashion designer that assists (directs maybe is a better word) the contestants on Project Runway, doing a critique of their outfits.

5. So is Franken off of Air America? |
His departure was certainly low key. And he hasn't announced his senate run yet? I though that's why he left.

18. I listen to the AAR affiliate in San Francisco |
"The Quake." Franken's been on the nine to noon slot here for a long time. All of the sudden, he was replaced by Thom Hartmann and I thought I heard reference to him leaving to pursue a political career. Is he still on in other cities or at another time? The problem is I can only listen to him sporadically, so if some announcement was made, I missed it.

16. Probably Early Next Year |
Unless someone comes in at the last second and bails AAR out...which is unlikely...the network will likely vanish next year. That's why some affiliates have already jumped ship and others will do so soon. I expect most of the void will be filled by stations carrying the Jones new Progressive network or NovaM.
I'm surprised Franken lasted this long in doing his show...considering what a grind it is. Plus, he's been working for free for most of his time on AAR. I would miss hearing Al, but looks like he's set for a battle vs. the Mayor of Minneapolis to run against Coleman in '08 and will need to get started soon if he's to have any chance in the primaries.
