Sibel Edmonds and Sen. Bob Graham, D, FL (Ret) on NATIONAL SECURITY
Edited on Thu Nov-16-06 12:41 AM by autorank
Sibel Edmonds, former FBI translator, reveals the insights of Democratic Senator Bob Graham in a recent article. Graham was right on target stating that the hijackers from 911 had domestic support and contact through a Saudi source.

From Graham’s book, Intelligence Matters, the Senator states:

“It was as if the President’s loyalty lay more with Saudi Arabia than with America’s safety.” Further, he states that he asked the FBI to undertake a review of the Riggs Bank records on the terrorists’ money trail, to look at other Saudi companies with ties to al-Qaeda, to plan for monitoring suspect Saudi interests in the United States; however, Graham adds: “

Lets see the corporate media get busy on this. It is a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY

...and if you EVER have someone tell you that DEMOCRATS are weak on national security, haul out a copy of this article, or better yet, Sen. Grahamn's book and quote thema few lines...it's the whole truth and the start of an unraveling that will take place.

Part 1: The Foreign Agent Factor
http://tinyurl.com/y6wwo9

By Sibel Edmonds

Senator Graham’s Revelation

It has been established that two of the 9/11 hijackers had a support network in the U.S. that included agents of the Saudi government, and that the Bush administration and the FBI blocked a congressional investigation into that relationship.

Snip

Regarding Certain Sensitive National Security Matters. Those 27 pages have almost been entirely censured ….The declassified version of this finding tells the American people that our investigation developed information suggesting specific sources of foreign support for some of the September 11 hijackers while they were in the United States. In other words, officials of a foreign government are alleged to have aided and abetted the terrorist attacks on our country on September 11, which took over 3,000 lives.”

In his book Graham reveals, “Our investigators found a CIA memo dated August 2, 2002, whose author concluded that there is incontrovertible evidence that there is support for these terrorists within the Saudi government. On September 11, America was not attacked by a nation-state, but we had just discovered that the attackers were actively supported by one, and that state was our supposed friend and ally Saudi Arabia.” He then cites another case, “We had discovered an FBI asset who had a close relationship with two of the terrorists; a terrorist support network that went through the Saudi Embassy; and a funding network that went through the Saudi Royal family.”

The most explosive revelation in Graham’s book is the following statement with regard to the administration’s attitude on page 216: “It was as if the President’s loyalty lay more with Saudi Arabia than with America’s safety.” Further, he states that he asked the FBI to undertake a review of the Riggs Bank records on the terrorists’ money trail, to look at other Saudi companies with ties to al-Qaeda, to plan for monitoring suspect Saudi interests in the United States; however, Graham adds: “To my knowledge, none of these investigations have been completed…Nor do we know anything else about what I believe to be a state-sponsored terrorist support network that still exists, largely undamaged, within the United States.”

Right, the media traitors need to make up for keeping Americans fooled and playing their part in aiding and abetting those who profit by the destruction, or attempted destruction, of America and her interests.

This is from Grahams book! And you bet I'll fire off a copy of this article. I've had that for a while and it's been out there. You'd think that Corporate Media would get the drift. Graham would be
great for 60 minutes.

This is a betrayal that cannot go undiscovered, where ever that takes us!

I've always liked Graham. He voted against the Iraq war.

My new motto is "less os more" :) That won't last but this is pretty explosive stuff and it speaks for itself.

If the Corporate Media can revive the old story of Foley and the other deviant congressmen from 4-5 years back, make a big deal out of it (which it is) and sell a lot of ad space, thay can damn well revive the highly credible testimony of Senator Bob Graham, that great DEMOCRAT form Florida.

What would Jefferson do?

When they call us weak on national security, haul out a copy of Graham's book and tell them, we were on the hunt to solve this mystery and the Republicans shut us down;). That's a Lloyd Bentsen moment (against Dan Quayle).

Feels good doesn't it. What a great time to be a Democrat in the trenches. All that unglamorous work...dropping literature, 'flushing,' handing out sample ballots for frigging hours in crappy weather, having to put up with those strange Republican guys who act like they've been unsuited just because you hand them a sample ballot - they are of a type;)...it's all worth it for the very reason you mention. "we gave them the muscle."

14. Right, they'd throw the bum out...
and that's no lie. If you blow a big crime investigation and you're the DA, that is usually it (unless its LA;).

But the Corporate Media wouldn't even go after this eminent and highly reliable source. Graham was chided because he kept extensive notes on every part of his day, down to the last detail. They thought him quirky because he worked a regular job 1 day a month for a good portion of his career (McDonald's, hardware store, trash pick up) in order to understand the people he represented.

The guy is detailed and smart. He's not missing anything here. His word is solid.

So Corporate Media...where are you???

16. Bushco wants NSA wiretapping legislation to enhance national security.
Yet, evidently, when they have a legitimate course of investigation they apparently look the other way!

Talk about the selective and self-serving search for the truth. Of course Bushco would say that they are "fair and balanced".

17. hey looky here... ANYONE still conducting warrantless wire-taps could face prosecution....

The New York Times

August 18, 2006

In a sweeping decision that drew on history, the constitutional separation of powers and the Bill of Rights, Judge Anna Diggs Taylor, a Carter administration appointee who sits on the U.S. District Court in Detroit, rejected almost every argument put forth by the administration.

Taylor ruled that the program violated both the Fourth Amendment and a 1978 law that requires warrants from a secret court for intelligence wiretaps involving people in the United States.

The Fourth Amendment protects Americans against "unreasonable searches and seizures."

32. Graham's insights will be the new Dem Majority's guide to investigating this...
.... I predict this will be the most intense and desperate confrontation we have seen in Government in a lifetime, because the stakes are so high.

Obviously this cannot be fully investigated and disclosed without exposing the Bush family and friends connections to the Saudis and all manner of illegal activity, graft and corruption, likely rising to the level of treason.

I hope I am wrong, but I fear many dead bodies will testify to the import of these investigations before we get to the bottom of the real criminals who have made the perpetration of these crimes possible.

I've met him when he was a governor of Florida. He stood up against Bush on Iraq war when he was a senator and explained why. He was right on spot even to this day! I didn't see Diebold anywhere in that article.

Not everyone is aware of Diebold, ya know.

But by now everyone is aware that the official story is incomplete, and lacking in certain facts, like the fact there was an outside, secret hand, moving things around, or that people were misled to believe that the *misadministraion wasn't somehow involved.

And, no, I'll make no apology for kicking.

58. Given seeminly new political landscape, I hope we find a way for Sibel to tell
what she knows. Sibel, DSM, Plame, 9/11, Turkey, Iraq. Seems there's a dam just ready to burst....one more piece of information and the thing blows.

Can't keep Sibel down forever.

67. 4 most frightening words to the WH: Chairman Conyers Chairman Waxman
Old dogs don't need new tricks. These two have forgotten more than the Republicans know. And they
both have able, battle tested staff. I'll bet things really get cooking.

Cooking indeed!
I asked him last night if he had contacted Waxman, Dorgan et al.
AFFIRMATIVE- Yes, I would guess resignations are in negotions at this point.
Unfortunately, not until a "last push" in Iraq by the fleeing thugs and miscreants
who have robbed the country blind. Paraguay???

I sincerely pray for the troops caught in the neocon meat grinder that
is the debacle know as the *<"war on terrorism.">*

God help us all at this point, but especially the troops who
have been used and abused by these corporate robber barrons.

69. I couldn't agree more.
It's a new day.

And what is this "last push" - the first one, the attack was devastating and it didn't end
anything except Saddams reign. Why do they have such little regard to the partiots who sign
up and serve? An over bearing sense of superiority I suspect.

59. Graham may have known from Randy Glass before 9-11
In fact, he most likely did know, so you guys may want to ask whim why he didn't actually DO anything when there was time. This is well known to 9-11 tinfoil hatters (such as myself). An ex-FBI informant (and one-time conman) Randy Glass claims to have warned Bob Graham about 9-11 before it happened. From cooperativeresearch.org:

Early August 2001: Government Informant Warns Congressmen of Plan to Attack the WTC

Randy Glass, a former con artist turned government informant, later will claim that he contacts the staff of Senator Bob Graham and Representative Robert Wexler at this time and warns them of a plan to attack the WTC, but his warnings are ignored. Glass also tells the media at this time that his recently concluded informant work has “far greater ramifications than have so far been revealed,” and, “potentially, thousands of lives at risk.” Glass was a key informant in a sting operation involving ISI agents who were illegally trying to purchase sophisticated US military weaponry in return for cash and heroin. He later claims that in July 1999, one ISI agent named Rajaa Gulum Abbas pointed to the WTC and said, “Those towers are coming down.” Most details apparently remain sealed. For instance Glass will claim that his sealed sentencing document dated June 15, 2001, lists threats against the WTC and Americans. Florida State Senator Ron Klein, who had dealings with Glass before 9/11, later will say he is surprised it took so many months for the US to listen to Glass: “Shame on us.” Klein will recall getting a warning from Glass, though he cannot recall if it mentions the WTC specifically. He will say he was told US intelligence agencies would look into it. Senator Graham later will acknowledge that his office had contact with Glass before 9/11, and was told about a WTC attack: “I was concerned about that and a dozen other pieces of information which emanated from the summer of 2001.” However, Graham will say that he personally was unaware of Glass’s information until after 9/11. In October 2002, Glass will testify under oath before a private session of the 9/11 Congressional Inquiry, stating, “I told I have specific evidence, and I can document it.”
