Wow! I just listened to you on CSPAN. As this was my first exposure to you I was just amazed. I just can not seem to get use to people that are either so brainwashed or so fraudulent that they can be so smug about cheering on the destruction of our Country.
First, let me address the "do nothing" Congress. They weren't "do nothing". It was more akin to "steamroll through" Congress. They pushed through, at lightening speed, the most un-American legislation our Country has ever seen. The Patriot Act I, II, X, or however many versions (yes, I realize there wasn't really ten), the Military Commissions Act, the Bankruptcy changes, and the list goes on and on.
Next, let's discuss the "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here". Well, Sir, how do you reconcile the fact that the war has and is increasing terrorism world wide? Iraq did not attack us and you are nothing short of a liar when you insinuate that they did. Or, that "staying the course" will prevent another attack.
Democrats are wrong and you are right? Well, now that would be a matter of perspective and your goals. In other words, that is senseless drivel and means nothing. To determine wrong or right one needs to determine the subject, goals, and several other factors. I think you are WRONG. I'm 100% sure you are wrong. Isn't that an useless assessment from either of us?
I suspect your views are all financially driven. You are about Hugh's profit margin, not for what is the good of this Country. Well, Hugh, that may be RIGHT for you but it is WRONG for me.
Personally, I am sickened every day by the many deaths in Iraq that have occurred, partially in my name. I am greatly disturbed by the fact we sanction torture. How close we have become to a dictatorship keeps a knot in my stomach. Then to listen to an enabler and cheer leader for war profiteers and war criminals is just a bit more than I can take.
You Sir, need to suit up and get your butt over to Iraq. Put your money where your mouth is? If this war is so almighty key to the US safety then you should be over there doing your part. Yes, I thought not...it's not really all that important, now is it?
Well your performance on CSPAN was certainly disgusting. You might be smug with the Air American fluff piece but I'd love to have a discussion with you. I am very well educated on what has been occurring. I don't find you intimidating, in the least. You would be hard pressed to try to pass me off as a loony conspiracy type. That, of course, is why you'll never enter into an honest debate with someone like myself.
You may think you are of such greatness and are so special you won't ever feel the pain caused by the destruction of our Country. I think you would by WRONG. Unfortunately, you probably will be spared by those of us that care enough to work towards restoring our democracy. Remember....the very ones you said were WRONG.
