Why are some Dems like my Grandmother?
She was an awesome lady that was born when Teddy Roosevelt was President and lived to 100, but...we used to say she was only happy when she had something to bitch about. She was very happy!.

- We stomped Republican ass this election and have wrested back control of the House and Senate after only 12 years. (Most prognosticators said it would take a generation).

- The American people successfully put the brakes on the drunk asses that were driving the car.

- GWB is a weakened, broken, lamest of the lamest duck. His agenda (tax-cuts for the wealthy, privatized Social Security, Cowboy diplomacy, perpetual war, swaggering braggadocio, go-fuck yourself style of governing, 51% mandate, etc) lies in ruins.

- Dems control 28 of 50 governorships.

- Dems took back a ton of state legislating bodies.

- We elected Dems to everything from School Boards, to Senator, to Governor, to Dog-Catcher

and yet...Some want to piss and moan about a House leadership position that 95% of Americans could give a rats ass about.

I, for one, am breaking out a fine cigar, pouring some Bombay Sapphire Gin in a chilled glass, slipping on my most comfortable slippers, and SAVORING VICTORY!

We did more than win an election this time around. We may have pulled our country back from the edge of the cliff.

I'll wait to see how Dems govern before I bitch about who gets the bigger office.

5. She worked at the little corner grocery store til she was 80
Called her husband "Mister" and was able to survive with help from Social Security.

Her husband (my grandfather) helped organize mine workers in Corning, Ohio.

Yes, she was true blue die hard Democrat. She would be very happy with the results of this election, especially in Ohio!

7. Thanks!
I'm just trying to do my small part.

If you look at all the Dems accomplished this election, it's just stupid to waste our time arguing about who gets the bigger office.

I guess like my grandmother, some people are only happy if they have something to bitch about.

We need to concentrate on the big picture important things, like kicking the Repuke Party back to the margins of power, so that our children and grandchildren never have to face the nightmare of a wing-nut in the White House with a wing-nut Senate and House.
