Has anyone suggested setting up talks with the insurgents and Sunnis and Shia since
they are the ones who seem to be doing all the fighting in Iraq?

1. Have you had a chance to see this post about the Kucinich plan?

There is an answer in there, I think = negotiating is the answer, but who talks to whom? He gets into it.

It's such a problem. Saudi Arabia wanted us out of the country and we more or less left - I believe there are no bases there anymore.

We are not wanted in Iraq except by the 'leaders' we installed there. But there are no Bush-Saud Family business relationships.

We need the rest of the world to help - just as we helped in WW2 (after some of our people realized how profitable it could be for them). Rather than a coalition that signed up to help PNAC in Afghanistan and who got stuck in Iraq knowlingly or not, we need the world to DO the peace thing, not just assist us by our staying there. We lost credibility because of the PNAC Iran-Contra team and their backer barons.

2. Part of Kerry-Feingold plan voted for by 13 senators acknowledging that civil war
was a REALITY in Iraq last June.

3. The * people talk? Are we out of bullets and bombs?
You never talk if you can get someone else to fight for you. That's the * doctrine.
