Are you an ELECTED DEM OFFICIAL?

Frequently on DU, people have pondered if any of our elected officials ever check in and see what their constituents are up to. Of course, it seems good conventional wisdom to assume that an involved and aware Democratic politician would stop by from time to time. Though we all know Freepers lurk about as well (politicians included).

If you are an elected official, we understand your desire to keep your handle anonymous. Of course, we would be very impressed if we knew (hint)! :applause:

I've found DU to be a vibrant place with diverse ideas; it would be particularly cool and gratifying to discover that those we have put so much energy into electing, are watching and listening to whats happening on the front lines. DU is on the front line. Therein lies the purpose behind the poll. For that reason, this only applies to elected Democrats. :kick:

Disclaimer: This will only work if there are limited/no imposter's, but it will be to the same degree that none of our polls are scientific. One never knows unless you ask?

12. I've been following DU for quite some time

and, for obvious reasons I cannot even allude to my identity, but I'll say this much:

I'm lucky to retain office in my oh-so-red part of the country.

I'll continue to lurk, won't post much, as I can't risk being publicly associated with a forum which, rightly or not, is perceived as being "out-of-the-mainstream."

Good luck to all true Dems, and I promise to take thoughtful viewpoints from all posters under consideration, and to further the Democrat agenda in Washington whenever possible (which is MUCH more often since last Tuesday!)

to ask), but first and foremost, please never forget to work for the People who, clearly, sent the message to end the Bush maladministration criminal disaster in Iraq as soon as possible (like yesterday...), and hold all who lied to the world to start it accountable for their horrible crimes, and manipulations.

Re-open the 9/11 Commission. (+Find out everything about the PNACers' wet dream of a "new Pearl Harbor" as they did write about how much they would benefit from it, and did beyond their wildest dreams so far).

Re-enact the Fairness Doctrine (or call it another name...).

(Hoping you are a Dem Senator, but if you're not, please work for the People and the Constitution, instead of for 'special interests' and fight climate change, etc. Thanks!)

Augustwest (for example) IS a Senator? Obviously, the risk in thowing such a question out there on DU will be the imposter trolls that want attention jumping in.

But its fun to think that somewhere in the mix, there REALLY IS a real Senator or two. Now how cool would that be! Guess we are stuck with a mystery; for the moment anyway, I'll chose to believe The Truth Is Out There on DU (in part anyway). Call me an optimist.
