Ohio's new Democratic SoS Jennifer Brunner posts at HuffPo
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jennifer-brunner/on-being-fearless_b_34239.html

My name is Jennifer Brunner, and this year I was the Democratic candidate for Ohio Secretary of State. On Election Day, by defeating my Republican opponent and two other candidates in 51 of Ohio's 88 counties, with an unofficial total vote of 1,994,276 or 54.78% of the votes cast for this office, I became Secretary of State-Elect.

In addition to being the first member of an Ohio county board of elections to be elected Secretary of State, this marks the first time in Ohio history that a woman has been elected to this post.

As Democrats replaced Republicans in one race after another in Ohio and across the nation, the realization that women can be trusted to assume high office was made manifest as new leaders like Nancy Pelosi, the next Speaker of the House, will step into shoes that previously had only been worn by men. -snip-

Long-ass article, good read :hi:

4. No, he will declare himself Governor of the State of his house.
He will appoint his cats to his cabinet and hold meetings in the kitchen.

3. She's excellent. I sent her campaign money.
She actually called my wife at work. Brunner started with the why she wants to be SoS pitch. My wife said, "just cut to the chase. How much do you need?"

8. Can't wait for her to take office!!
As an Ohioan who has suffered dearly under the Taft/Blackwell thievery I am ecstatic that Jennifer Brunner was successful. My plan is to call her office in January and find the committee that will focus on voting rights in our state and volunteer to help in any way!! Peace on earth, Kim

9. I shook her hand here in my hometown...
She's a real nice lady, and I have the feeling that she would do the ethical thing a recurse herself from running an election in which she was a candidate if the scenario played out in such a way. I can't wait to see Blackwell out in public somewhere so I can piss on his suit.

Give him a squirt for me out here on the east coast. I've been pissing on his suit in my mind since '04.
