Foley in Palm Beach to attend Father's funeral
Ex- U.S. Rep. Mark Foley back in PBC for father's funeral
By Andrew Marra
Palm Beach Post Staff Writer
Thursday, November 16, 2006

Former U.S. Rep. Mark Foley has returned to Palm Beach County and will attend his father's funeral Saturday.

A source close to Foley's family confirmed that he arrived in South Florida Wednesday, one day after his 85-year-old father, Ed Foley, passed away.
More local news

Foley, of Fort Pierce, had checked into a 30-day alcohol recovery program at an Arizona rehab center after resigning from Congress in late September amid the disclosure of his sexually explicit Internet messages to Congressional pages. He extended his stay at the A-list center, Sierra Tucson, at least once.

Foley's attorney released a statement from Foley's family asking for privacy while they grieve Ed Foley's death. A visitation is scheduled Friday and the funeral will take place Saturday.

Condolences to the Foley family. I am sure that this will not be easy for Mark.

2. Wait a second, I think I know where Foley went for rehab...
He's in close with the Scientologists, and they have a Narconon facility out there in Arizona. Was Mark Foley out in Arizona at Narconon?

4. Oh,that's terrible!
That's a shame Mark had to lose his father after all the turmoil he has been in already.Maybe it was too much for his father to take? My condolences to Mark and his family also. May his father RIP.

5. after all the turmoil he's been in? whose doing was it? mark's, of course, so I don't feel in the
least bit sorry for "the turmoil he's been in". I am sorry for his family's loss, but NOT sorry for one minute for HIM.

6. That's just plain sad.
Mark Foley brought so much grief on himself, but it's really hard when life kicks you when you're down.

Condolences and prayers for peace of mind for the Foley family in this time of great sorrow.

7. .
Yeah, that were my thoughts...he screwed up, but still, that was a horrible month for him and his family. Just when one thinks that it couldn't get worse, the next tragedy happens.
