Mostafa Tabatabainejad was tazered by university police, after he failed to exit the university library quickly enough when he failed to produce the ID that is required of all students using the library after 11. He was tasered once when he didn't get out quickly enough, and then repeatedly after that for failing to stand up after being tazered the first time. Other students who asked the police for their names and badge numbers where threatened with tazering.

The whole incident is was caught on camera phone, and accompanies this article.

2. It's incidents like this that teach us that all University Cops
need to be armed with guns. Sissy tazers!

3. wouldn't it have been easier to hogtie the kid
instead of tasering him and asking him repeatedly to stand up?

don't get me wrong, cops are pricks like that. actually what happened to that kid was pretty mild.

lessons to be learned from this:
1. do not fail to comply with a lawful order
2. speak to the police in a calm tone and do nothing that can be construed as threatening their safety or anything that constitutes an affront to their authority.

the police can do whatever they want, and they win most of the time.

7. It is guys like this who give law enforcement a bad name
It is hard enough to enforce the law and remain calm without having guys like this give us all a black eye. I hope IA does the right thing and puts these guys out on their asses.
