what happened. trying to use credt card to donate. i did it once and

it went thru with my credit card. tried to do another and it is saying i cannot use this credit card. WHY. NOTHING is wrong with my credit card. i have never used paypal, cause sh*t always happens. what am i doing wrong. i owe two other people a star so would like to do it NOW

3. make sure you type your name EXACTLY as it is on the card

Including caps. If your name is in all caps on the card, make sure you type it in that way.

i have never had a problem using this card (my only card for ten years) on any internet buy. the only time was pay pal. hauuby has an account and i dont knwo the code.... could that be interfering in it?

7. Were they both for the same amount? That triggers alarms at the CC

companies. It has happened to me several times even at the store if I try to put 2 for the same amount just one after the other. You can just add or subtract one cent and it will go through!

9. Was it the exact same amount for each transaction?

Sometimes the credit card co. (or whomever) suspects that the retailer is trying to run the same charge through twice and they put a stop on it. Maybe this was a preemptive stop on any identical transactions within a certain time period. :shrug:

As suggested above, wait a bit and try, again.

16. I would just call customer service. They flag accounts for id theft

if there is anything suspect now, they probably just need to hear from you that's all. I wouldn't be mad, cause if someone had stolen your card you'd be happy they stopped them from charging, I should know, my credit card was stolen in Paris and used!

17. If it didn't work with a different amount, then I'm stymied.

I can't imagine what the problem is, but hope you get it resolved soon. Call the toll-free number on the back of your card, that should get the quickest response.

I think your sponsoring others is truly admirable, but the timng is not of the essence. I once had over $40,000 in a checking acct and was denied a $70.00 check by Equifax, because I had written too many checks recently (none touching that $40,000.00, and was told that they answered to no one and it was their prerogative, thank God, I had cash, I would not even give them my balance free cc.
