I swear we could "win" the war, solve world hunger, cure cancer, and elevate every american to a comfortable level of living... and STILL we would be "fuck ups" in the eyes of the media and a significant number of americans.

Somewhere, some how... we have garnished this mime of being the "outsiders".... I really think this is a cultural problem more than a political one.

Whatever the root, this "perception" is what we need to battle. Granted its not a sexy issue like impeachment, or gay marriage, or immigration, or corporate reform, etc...But unless we get the populous to recognize us as "players"... we are doomed to be the butt of jokes and attacks.

*Sigh... I doubt I made my point... but hopefully you all will get the idea. How does an "outsider" gain acceptance from the "cool" kids ????

(Note: I use "cool" in a sick sort of way... not in the manner truly cool people are normally identified by)
