4th quarter fund drive - sort of like voting

We all know that DU and the blogosphere impacted the election. We raised funds and awareness. We helped frame the terms of debate. We voted and voiced, convictions and ideals.

We got a little check box saying "I voted."

And now it's time to get the little line: "I donated."

I don't give much - can't afford to. I donate to charities, but only to a couple political organizations. DU is one. And here's why:

November 2004. How many of the rest of you survived the nightmare, the stolen election, because you belonged to - or found - DU?

August 2005. After evacuating New Orleans, I turned once again to DU for news, comfort and one of my communities.

November 2006. WHEEEEEE!
