Thanksgiving Gratitude Check: What Are You Grateful For?

Tonight, I turn off the computer and head to the islands for our first vacation since the 2002 midterms with so much to be thankful for.

But, first, some thoughts on the last four years of struggle:

Opportunity lies before us now. And for that, I am truly grateful.

No longer voices in the wilderness, today we have a playing field.

The game is ours to lose.

Our children are watching.

We must rise to occasion.

I am grateful for my family, my friends, my freedoms, and my faith.

These are great days.

for my wife, daughter and baby kitty.

Thankful that we are all healthy with a nice home and good jobs.

Thankful that the Democrats took over congress.

7. That I was not in a campus library and refused to show my I.D.

8. I'm grateful that someone hooked up my star situation.

9. My children are all alive.

Some friends lost their very bright and talented 19-year-old two days ago to a brain tumor they discovered a few weeks ago. Every other problem or annoyance is just noise in comparison to the screaming hell they are going through. Sorry to be such a downer. Hug your kids.
