positions? They may have been pardoned but they were convicted felons nonethless. All this bullshit talk about Alcee Hastings...who was never convicted of any crime needs to be placed in perspective.

2. And the ones that were really really dirty like Bobby Gates got
to slide because Clinton didn't want to investigate the crimes and criminals of the Reagan/Bush I eras.

3. I know of a couple
Elliott Abrams pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor (not felony) charges of withholding information from Congress. He was pardoned by Poppy.

John M. Poindexter was found guilty on 7 felony charges. All were vacated on appeal, on the grounds that his immunized testimony before Congress may have influenced witnesses in the trial. Oliver North got away with 3 felony convictions for the same reason.
