What is going on with Air America Radio?
Heard several references to financial problems at AAR yesterday.

And why was Christy Harvey introduced as an AAR commentator? They should have put a talk show host up against that piece of crap Hugh Hewwitt! LHM!

I remember reading that they were filing for bankruptcy protection. That was at least a few weeks ago. Sorry I don't have more info.

:-(

2. They've Filled For Bankruptcy

Radio depressed advertising revenues along with AAR's long-running financial messes and poor marketing has landed the company in hopes of a big money bailout to keep going. So far no luck in finding that money.

Word has been circulating that AAR will be off the air by year's end.

3. Clear Channel has been sold
Air America is dependent on Clear Channel as the owner of most the stations they are affiliated with.

7. Yeah, I just saw that in another thread.
Mitt Romney, the Carlyle Group...either way, the reasons should be pretty obvious.

4. Thanks, thought it might just be the RWers
and sour grapes over the Midterm. Sorry to hear AAR is in a bad way financially!
