Federalist Society Meeting in DC has to clear room for Cheney Security..
Just now on C-Span Michael Chertoff ends his speech to Federalist Society and announcer says "We have to clear the room in preparation for VP Cheney's appearance this afternoon--room to be searched with magnetometers and those in other rooms will be locked in because of preparations."

Amazing. I don't remember Al Gore have room sweeps and folks being locked into a building so they and rooms can be checked with magnetometers. I imagine there will also be "bomb sniffing dogs" but they announcer didn't mention that. :eyes:

Cheney and Bush must be really fearing for their lives,if Cheney can't feel comfortable appearing in the den one of his own major support groups, the Mighty Federalist Society :D

1. We saw the same thing during the inauguration. It looked like a police
state out of George Orwell's novels.

2. When you're as universally hated as Cheney, as well as extremely paranoid...
He probably has a SS guy do a cavity search on Lynn before she gets into bed each night. Or SHE probably has an SS guy do...I doubt even Lynn Cheney, as horrible as she is, allows Oswald Cobblepot to put his flippers all over her prim Victorian lady bits.

4. The BFEE has a lot of things similar to the Praetorian Guard and Gestapo

the fact that Cheney felt this necessary at a meeting of the Federalist Society is indicative of how far removed from a democracy we are and may or may not be a sign of the BFEE infighting.

Speaking of the Federalist Society and Cheney's concerns about his currently unindicted criminal posterior-Edwin Meese III is the Federalist Society's co-founder, was Reagan's AG, a close friend of Poppy, and is on Poppy's Iraq Study Group

5. Cheney has his own personal anti-aircraft missile launchers
at both of his private homes. That's the kind of life you lead when you are the singularly most hated man in the world.

6. And...his own "in house"Med Vac Trailor with trained attendents that he
overhauled Airforce II to take him to Iraq. Would that all of us could live such "charmed lives."

8. Same thing happened for Clinton in Los Angeles this summer...
when he made a speech at the NCLR convention. They searched all of our bags and made us stand outside the room while they swept with the dogs.

Funny thing is when KKKarl Rove spoke 2 days later, no security sweep.
