Leaving is the weakest response a person can make - But go if you want. |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-30-06 06:12 PM by blm
I expect that the greater purpose is actually to take others with you.
So GO.
Don't waste anymore time with those of us Democrats who prefer to stay and fight for the Democratic party and the millions of people who need the support of lefties willing to work harder to expose the everyday injustices. Democracy demands it. there are only two teams in any Super Bowl. TWO - that's it. DISSUADERS aren't needed, we have a corporate media for that, and fighting them fulltime is battle enough.

2. I thought repeating the same mistake.... |
|
over and over and over again, and expecting different results, defines insanity.

4. Me? I'm fighting for Democracy. For truth and honesty, integrity and |
|
actual belief in my representatives...however way I get it. My daughter, MY son, MY Children are far more important to me. I understand your anger...but understand I AM ANGRY too.

5. It's understandable that people feel bad, but I'm not going |
|
away. I'm going to make life hell for those who want to take away my liberty and those who make it possible for the repubs to destroy this country.
Leaving the dem party now is just contributing to the problem. We need everyone we have now, and more, to make this country right again.

I'm ready to kick some ass, too - politically speaking, that is.

8. Leaving is a weak response if you do not support the party you are |
|
going to. Voting for a different person in the primary, however, is a very strong response to show that you do not support the current representative.
In any case, each person has to determine for themselves who represents them best, and if you find out that leaving the party represents you best, then that is not weak.

10. Just because one leaves the Democratic party |
|
doesn't mean one can't still work toward Democratic ideals. You know, the ones the Democrats AREN'T working for. I had my Libertarian and moderate Republican... well... not-quite-friends... calling against Alito. Just because a person doesn't label themselves as a Democrat doesn't mean they aren't more of one than these fuckheads in office.

12. Not to worry, I saw some of the same people threaten to leave DU and the |
|
party if they didn't filibuster Roberts. They threaten just to blow off stem and have no intention of going anywhere. Hell, you couldn't make most of them leave if you PAID them. Its mainly just attention seeking.

13. I wish they would take their attention seeking elsewhere. |

I want to hear from people with ideas & how to support the party & make our party stronger even spirited debates. But if they truly want to leave let them they probably weren't much help anyway.
