A Song for Keith: Don't Fear the Freeper
Edited on Fri Nov-17-06 04:19 PM by IntravenousDemilo
DON’T FEAR THE FREEPER

What have we become,
Rights all trampled on?
Liberals know the Freepers,
And we all know they’re completely insane.
xxxxx(We can see what they are!)

KO baby...
xxxxx(Don't fear the Freeper)
We know where you stand...
xxxxx(Don't fear the Freeper)
You’re a patriot-guy...
xxxxx(Don't fear the Freeper)
Keith Olbermann...

La la la la la,
La la la la la.

Castagana’s sad.
He's their "hanging Chad".
Dubya Bush and Cheney, too,
Will be burning for eternity...
xxxxx(Dubya Bush and Number Two)

Another 20 soldiers died today...
xxxxx(Like one big pile of Number Two)
A hundred more Iraqis died today...
xxxxx(As they kill America)
Another thousand dying every day...
xxxxx(We can’t be like they are)

KO baby...
xxxxx(Don't fear the Freeper)
It was only sand...
xxxxx(Don't fear the Freeper)
Keep your own powder dry...
xxxxx(Don't fear the Freeper)
KO, you’re the man...

La la la la la,
La la la la la.

(SHORT MUSICAL BREAK TO LET THE COWBELL COOL OFF)

Traitors, every one.
Fear, they’re banking on.
We have been mired in sadness
Since November 2004.
They claimed their “mandate” and then, as we feared,
Our cherished liberties disappeared,
Then on the TV set Keith appeared,
xxxxx(Saying don't be afraid)

KO baby...
xxxxx(Now we have no fear)
And we ran to him...
xxxxx(And we’re starting to fly)
We looked forward and said we’ll try.
xxxxx(We won’t become like they are)
We will take back our land.
xxxxx(We can’t become like they are)

KO baby... don't fear the Freeper…

18. "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult.
Just TERRIFIC!!!

I was humming along as I was reading these VERY clever lyrics. Have you sent them to him? You should. I'm certain the "Countdown" folks would appreciate it!

16. If it gets 5 votes, a thread goes to the Greatest Page
Bought a new pc. An H/P. Reasonably cheap.

This is nice, since I can kick this. :-)

SHMILY, honeybunch.

15. Wowie, I wish I could have been there.
Was it an open-air concert, or indoors? Right time of the year, open-air is way better. If it was outdoors, I'm sure the air would have been thick with mary-jane.

14. I don't have the equipment for it, or I might. There likely is a karaoke version out there anyway.
Or maybe someone on DU has a band and a studio.

Since he's in TV, I think KO would get more of a kick out of it if it were a video.

Anyway, feel free, whoever. Go crazy.

20. Oh, this is excellent!
I hope you send this to KO - he'll get a hugh kick out of it - I'm series!11!!

I saw BOC in 1978, and they're responsible for the diminished hearing capacity in my right ear. We were standing on the right side near the stage. During the intro to "Godzilla" a roadie backstage tripped over some of the cabling and disconnected the speakers on that side. Every person standing in that area with us were looking at each other, shaking our heads, wondering what had happened. The lead singer (whose name escapes me at the moment) stopped singing, apologized, went toward the back of the stage and started yelling at people. About 5 minutes later, they got it fixed and restarted the song from the beginning. It was an excellent show, but my hearing in my right ear has never been the same. I paid $6.98 for the ticket, and the show was at the Lakeland Civic Center in Lakeland, Fla. I grew up in Tampa, and at that time they had a lot of shows in Lakeland...I saw a lot of great bands there. (Oh! A trip down Memory Lane!)
