58. Agreed! Dreyfuss was the best panelist tonight
and one of the best this season. Reminding us that not only is it OK to ask the tough questions but also that we MUST ask the questions or this grand experiment called republican democracy will be a fable by our granchildren's lifetimes. Reason, dissent, logic. I could have listened to him all night.

67. No. He just said it more plainly and directly.
Bill's tool is sarcasm. That relies on "us" to connect the dots. Dreyfuss was connecting the dots for the rest of "us" that aren't totally aware of the issues and why the media and civics matter. I think Maher is just as aware and interesting. After all, it's his show and he had Richard Dreyfuss as his guest. Tom Morello was also a great voice from which I would like to like to hear more.

OK, you've got me going. All this talk about net neutrality has me befuddled by this current example of "pay to play." Some of us can afford or choose to suscribe to HBO, but it's not like some crumbs don't currently appear on youtube or C&L. That may no longer be the case if there is no net neutrality.

A curse upon Time Warner. May your stock NEVER recover from the bloated AOL merger.

60. Seems His Pet Cause Is Teaching Of Civics. This Is An Issue Thom Hartmann
touches on quite often.

The fact that the teaching of Civics was dropped during the . . .

wait for it . . .

Raygun Administration.

And Hartmann postulates that it was for the reasons Dreyfuss was addressing. Because we all know the Reich-Wing hates true democracy.

70. No Idea. I Just Know That Hartmann Says That We Are No Longer
requiring the teaching of it. He is someone I have found fairly reliable. Dreyfuss is also expressing these same concerns.

I am sure that there are some schools in the country that teach it, but since the Raygun Admin, sounds like they are probably few and far between.
