... and I also like it that when he doesn't want to say that answer, he does not follow the Bush approach of "I lied, because it was the only way I could think to get you to move to another question".

Obviously, the answer to David Letterman's question is that if he gets to the White House, he won't have time to watch David Letterman, so it won't bother him very much.

But he was raised too polite to say that.

I fell asleep just before Edwards came on and woke up right after he had left! I was upset that I didn't get to see the interview. He and Dave both did well.
