I'm sick to death of the GOP making fools of us by drumming up artificial issues, putting us on defe |
|
They can spot the tiniest gnat bite and turn it into a festering wound. And then we defend against it. giving it all the more power to their new lie. It reminds me of the schoolyard bully who makes fun of you and then gets everyone else to start laughing at you too.
Then one day you stand up to the bully, punch him in the nose and he goes running home crying.

1. The GOP won't make fools of us unless you let them. So stop it! |
|
:hi: I'm serious. Just don't buy the shit you're seeing and hearing. Period. They can't, it won't work, and the Dems are doing fine!

and by saying "don't buy the shit you're seeing and hearing" you mean the hand-maiden to these thugs, the self-serving corporate media. Don't BUY it.

2. Yes and we need more people who will do that. |
|
The problem has had a lot to do with the Liebermans, Carvilles, and Millers who said that we all need to be bipartisan-which has since become a dirty word-and just go along with an extremist agenda that puts the country up the river. Extremists of any kind are bad but when you get the "nice" guys who do end up doing the bully's work for them while pretending to be everyone's "friend".

3. You know what they do when we drag up dirt? |
|
They ignore. Change the subject. Maybe when they start dragging us through the mud, we can just stand up and not give their dumbass remarks any credit by even answering to it. Just change the subject and start talking about something that actually matters.

4. You just look at them and sneer "Are you fucking stupid?" |
|
Or, a variation, "O-o-okayyy... Can we talk about something real now?"
I know you're probably not talking about things that happen to you personally, but that's by advice to Dem politicians faced with this as well. Perhaps the less profane version, anyway.

7. Since we ARE dealing w/bullies, |
|
we treat them the same way as when we were kids....either ignore them, or beat them at their own game. We nitpick them about every little thing....Oh, wait....they have very gigantic things we can pick about! We should do that & keep them on the defense like they have done w/us. It's the good flip-flop called "turning the tables"! Keep the pressure ON! :patriot: :kick:

8. IF we had our own media, but they have ALL the media |

And their media repeats their crapola over and over until the next distraction and misdirection story.

I personally feel that the American people should be informed directly by their elected Representatives & NOT by the news media. That cutting-out-the-middleman would take away all the speculation & spin. Our political arena has become a soap opera of gargantuan proportions. That is why we seldom hear any real meat about pertinent issues. My hope is that the NEW Congress will fund PBS again, at least there was some inkling of truth from them. The little, working man could count on the unions in the past to promote our ideology, but the Repukes have largely busted them. We are smart, we've got to find a way!

Not many watch it though. Pretty dry at times, very rich other times. The rightwing call-ins are scary zealots sometimes. So simple that I wonder why I bother to work. They would be so easy to lead down any path you choose, as long as it paralleled hate.

I'm a recovering CSPAN addict! :smoke: When I stayed home with my kids, I got hooked. It started my quest for understanding the political system on the ground. It is a real national treasure!

13. We'll continue to be handicapped until the M$M is broken up |
|
into many diverse entities. The M$M works together for the benefit of Wall Street. In other words, War and "The poor getting poorer" is MIGHTY good for business. Until we break up this corporate conglomerate of Propaganda, we are constantly playing catch-up, i.e., Republican interests drives our USA Media Outlets. :(

14. The battered wife syndrome is playing well for the GOP |
|
Rather than dems standing up and smacking them, the dems run and worry about the next bad thing that could happen to them. It's been interesting.

17. They are doing their best to NOT LET THE DEMS SUCCEED... |
|
The GOP knows if the DEMs fix this and fix that...it makes them look bad...The GOP wants to rebound and retake the HOUSE SENATE...they want their POWER BACK...
Thus the DENIGRATION instead of the RECONCILIATION.....
Notice the WHINE LEVEL RISING??? Thats thewm GOPers...always making WHINE...hardly ever Positive, mostly Negative....The GOP have yet to discover there are 2 Polarities....
