1. All I know I wouldn't want to be in any of their shoes
with the precedence bushco* has set, I feel for them as individuals, even thou their mission was wrong.

5. The theme song from Jay Ward's "Super Chicken" comes to mind:
If you're afraid, you'll have to overlook it,
Besides, you knew the job was dangerous when you took it.

8. I just hope they remember "What goes around comes around"
How do you think those Macho boys would treat an Iraqi they captured? I really can't say I have any feelings about this one way or another because Americans have brought it upon themselves. They are not in the military and do not have to be there. They choose to be there and are well aware of the consequences. Is their thousand dollars a day worth it do you think?

9. Ah yes, the sins of some are transfered to all.
Well, hell!

Stupid poor fucks! That's what they get for being poor. Go die in Iraq like all the other disposable people.

10. These are mercenaries not soldiers..
They chose to be there doing the very thing they are doing. Toting sub-machineguns and acting Macho. There are many other ways to earn a living in America or even in Iraq. There are American civilians in Iraq that do not wear armored vests and carry sub-machinguns. Live by the sword, die by the sword....What comes around goes around...... and I do believe in Karma........You seem to think somehow being poor is a defense for their activities...Remember Bush* got passed some law that makes mercenaries immune to any prosecution for any of their activities. How do you think a real Macho macho man is going to act when told they are immune to any prosecution of any sort for anything they do????? You think our soldiers are misbehaving by raping and killing young girls, guess what these men are doing???

of those who have telepathic powers. 100% of the men working for Blackwater et al are going around murdering and raping everything in sight. Swell post.

And you're wrong everyone wears an armored vest in Iraq.

12. who said these guys are poor?
This guy quit the police force to become a merc so he could buy a hummer and a house. :eyes:

<snip>

Reuben intended to earn enough money to buy a house and a Hummer and then come home, his brother told the newspaper. But just a few days ago, he told his sister-in-law that he would be cutting short his work in Iraq.

"He told me he would be home in a few days," Jennifer Reuben, Patrick Reuben's wife, told the Star Tribune. She said Paul Reuben talked to her on the phone Saturday and told her how "scary and dangerous" it was in Iraq.

"He was worried about his safety, and he kept saying he loved us all," she said Thursday night.

"This is it," Jennifer said Reuben told her. "I'm coming home, and I'm never going back. They hate us here. They look you in the eye and say, 'Go home, Americans.' "

18. Ha. Ridiculous assertion.
The military are kill as well and are paid and joined voluntarily. Fits your world view nicely I bet. But, since you don't know any contractors and never will I can happily ignore your posts (on this subject). I'll still read your other posts...

11. If that's the worst of it, then I'm grateful.
It means they're still alive and haven't had power tools taken to their bodies as has been the tradition for a few years since Saddam, and was the tradition under Saddam (except that Saddam had a monopoly on it).

Of course, we won't abide by what seems to be the culturally appropriate response. That would be mean. Effective. But mean.

Edited on Sat Nov-18-06 07:42 PM by Ms. Clio
I could post numerous pictures that indicate otherwise. Not sure if power tools were used on those mangled bodies, or not, and how is that comment possibly relevant?

Do tell, what is "the culturally appropriate response?" You're just a mite bit cryptic here.

13. If they are being tortured in any way, it is outrageous
The commandeer-in-thief forfeited his right to complain, but the rest of can and should express outrage.

This is not how human beings are to be treated by anyone anywhere for any reason.
