Tony Blair admitted that British intervention in Iraq has been a disaster last night -
sending shockwaves through Westminster.

In his frankest admission about the war to date, Mr Blair admitted that Western forces
have been powerless to stop the descent into violence.

2. A disaster that didn't have to happen

Remember that, Mr. Blair, and Mr. Bush. This disaster was of your making. A country is being destroyed, and while Bush gets the bulk of blame, there's still plenty to pass around, so Blair is responsible, as well. Without Tony Blair's support, it would have been far harder to have this invasion happen. People could say that while Bush was guilty of cowboy tactics, surely the educated and articulate Blair wouldn't have agreed to join in this thing unless there was good reason. They are both guilty, and both the U.S, and Great Britain have had their reputations ruined by this fiasco.
