We'd better get used to this |
|
Now that we are the ruling party, we will be subjected to jokes, speculations and misstatements about anything that our leaders do and say.
Yes, even our "friends": Jon Stewart, Keith Olbermann, Bill Maher, with whom we cheered when they were mocking Bush and the rest of them, will now shine their warped mirrors on Reid and Pelosi and the other leaders.
This is how politics and the public work and we'd better learn to develop a thick skin, to know what to shrug off and what really demands a response.

3. That means that the guy at the top is still major fair game |

Like when he tries to veto stem cell research and other such good legislation that benefits families.
Now we have the opportunity to make him and his Party look even more anti working people, anti elderly and anti disabled.
I'm ready to take our share on the chin, too, but we're in a good place.

5. It's called "holding the feet to the fire" |

If the Dems stray, we need to mock them back into walking the straight and narrow. They answer to us, the constituents, not their campaign contributors.
From what I've seen over the past six years, these commentators call it as they see it. When the Dems screwed up, they got mocked. The thing is, I think it comes across more as well-intentioned criticism rather than animosity. Contrast that with the way the MSM handles it. I think the drama over the Pelosi/Murtha thing is so typical. The Pukes had EXACTLY the same situation occur back when they took over, Newt didn't get the guy he wanted. Was it treated like a disaster? No. This is about perception management. If Pelosi makes an easyover egg for breakfast and breaks the yolk, they're going to act like it's a fucking portent from God. Their hope is if they make enough noise, people will start to wonder if something serious happened.

6. K&R.....it will be depressing/aggravating |
|
am not looking forward to all that, but better to have won. I am amazed at the hits that Pelosi has taken just since the election, and the new Dem session hasn't even begun yet. And, of course, Dems still don't have a plan for anything, evidently....aaarrrrggghhhh.

Don't tell me they are now going to distort, and then magnify something Kerry says? Painting the democratic party with whatever hue they choose to use, is a favorite pastime for them...and totally irrelevant, unless you make it so. Excuse me, if I don't get worked up over anything a corp-whore says...that spectacle has gotten old.
