Click here for the whole story.

This is actually bad news for Democrats, because Santorum couldn't possibly be less popular with the 90% of us who are not the looney right fringe. Oh well.

2. Don't give up yet.
George Allen has just big enough an ego to consider a run. It may be fun yet. :)

4. I say let him run

let him lose Mondale-style in the general election.

22. go sign up on the winger sites
i'm sure you'll find a lot of people who will hope santorum changes his mind/don't believe that he's definitely out of the 2008 race.

6. And you all thought he was irretrievably stupid
But apparently an electoral two-by-four metaphorically laid between his eyes actually got Sick Rick's attention.

12. It's just a shame
that the two by four was metaphorical.

8. That's really too bad
I'd donate to that nutjobs campaign. I'd love to see this asshat try a run for President, we could run anyone short of a convicted child molestor (I think most of them are repukes anyway) and beat Santorum.

9. Draft him!
This nation would benefit from a Santorum - Kathleen Harris ticket in '08.

10. Not to fear though! We still have Gay hater Mitt Romney and Anti-Choice
woman hater, John McCain to run against! Don't forget about Duncan Hunter too! They have NO decent candidates this time around. NONE. How about Cat Killer Bill Frist who just happened to forget to take his continuing education classes to retain his medical license, but "fixed it" after the fact??

11. First Norm Coleman elects not to run, now Santorum. Sigh.
I certainly hope Kay Bailey Hutchison doesn't back out. Republicans may have to go with Tom Tancredo or Alan Keyes.

14. Just Think of All the 'Little Ricky' Video That Will Remain in the Vault...
... there is no end to the amount of Santorum idiocy captured on videotape that could and would have run if 'Little Ricky' had been the Republican nominee for President.

It is a shame really. Dems would have been assured of the Presidency if 'Little Ricky' had been the Republican nominee.

I guess he and Frist can have a pity party as they ponder what might have been, at least in their own minds!

if Santorum is going to remain living in Virginia or if he is going to move his family back to Pennsylvania? I hope he stays in Virginia.

18. Who is this guy actually popular with, aside from fundamentalists?
He didn't just lose his election narrowly like Macacalypse Now. He got crushed.

21. he's been championed by the conservative radio ranters
and there was even a "draft santorum" concept out there among the conservative bloggers. I think that's why, in part, the subject came up this week.
