Are these guys desperate to get back in the Saddle or What??

They are asking for the Iraqi Solution...demanding it even...

But Bush is managing this damn effort, not the Dems..

If they are looking for a solution, here is one thought.

If we pull out now..we save our boys lives and lose face at the same time.

If we phase out slowly...same effect, loss of face...forget credibility/respect...them be long gone.

Since we started the mess...It is incumbent for us to solve in a Positive Mode...and whats more Positive than Peace?

We should be building/protecting Peace Zones where Peeps can live without the fear of being killed. Far from the Madness, the model city would be built by joint effort, the Iraqi/American People. We must project Positiveness and Hope and only True Peace would achieve this.

The DEMOCRATIC PARTY is the Party of Peace and Fairness...the Pubs are known for their Negative Mode...

Come, we go help build Peace in a Place desperate for it...

IF it fails for one reason or another....at the very least,,,we can say WE TRIED....but, I feel, the Iraqi People and our People are hungry for it...and this is the perfect place to initiate an effort to achieve the impossible...Lasting Peace.

The Dems do NOT have the majority---YET.

We are still in lame duck session. They don't get sworn in and handed over the gavels and so forth until January. By then the Baker report should be on the street and we can see if there are points in common that are sensible. No sense in doing something different just to do something different. If we can achieve consensus AND get the troops home, that's great.

Tim played a tape of a warning Ted made almost a year ago. In it Ted saidthe mouse trap is waiting. If the Dems continue fighting against the Iraq war and insist on withdrawl at any cost, they may even win the war, but if they hold that position, and we do pull outand the whole middle east falls intoa giant disaster, the Dems will be caught in that mouse trap and will lose in 08.

The entire middle east is intertwined, and I'll say what no one else wants to say. OIL! It's all about oil, and if we let complete disruption of Persian Gulf oil supply happen,the World isin for a disaster like no one could ever imagine.

Peace or the effort...is the only option...forget the Bush/GOP Military Plan which for 3 1/2 years has cost ukamillions and lives.

That plan has utterly failed.

However, if they don't propose ways to get us out, and rubber stamp the republican agenda, they will have failed America and the party

Rumor has it that the baker commission is going to propose sending 20K more troops to Iraq. What the Democrats MUST demand is what is the definition of "winning". They must open investigations on what led up to the war in Iraq, and WHY the drum beat kept saying there were weapons of mass destruction, EVEN THOUGH the UN inspectors said just the opposite.

If the Democrats split on this issue, then there will be problems in 2008
