Is there any democratic candidate for president we can't find issues with? |
|
With the diversity along the rainbow of progressives and their issues I seriously doubt we will ever find anyone we can't find 'major' issues with.
They can't win, too moderate, too liberal and would turn off swing votes, tainted, did not do X, they don't agree with my one main issue, they screwed up in the past and don't get another chance (which sounds a lot like repugs talking about some poor guy who didn't save enough and lost his job, one strike and you are out). And the list goes on.
So I guess the question for me becomes - what are some of the things you think about when analyzing a candidate? It could be one thing, or a list of things in no particular order.
There must be some reasoning behind why we like one and not the other, and that goes back to a list of things which you think qualify a candidate as being the best for the job.
So yeah - we will always find something wrong with someone in our big tent, so it goes down to what are using as a basis??

we should be a big tent because there are many opinions on what should be done and each should be judged on it`s merits. to do otherwise we would be as bad as the people who are blinded by the truth

6. As Will Rogers said: "I don't belong to any organized party, I'm a Democrat. |

Yes, so many Democrats are in search of the perfect candidate, meaning one which agrees with them on each and every point. Too bad that candidate does not exist for each and every one of us. No, after we are done picking them apart and revealing all of their weak points and how they imperfectly line up with us the Republicans will just pick up where we left off.

candidate is women's reproductive choice (well, and suffrage). Everything else is subject to negotiation, AFAIC.
