During the last two elections he was able to talk out of both sides of his mouth about stuff like abortion and throw them a bone every once in a while and get away with it. Now the brainwashed freeps are frothing at the mouth at the thought of voting for "baby killers" and "bi-partisans" like Guiliani & McCain -- literally the only type of GOP candidate that can win post-Bush disasters is one at least posing as a "moderate" a la Arnie, but the freeps are too brainwashed to accept that.

I really think all the stupid Rove rhetoric has FINALLY bit the GOP in the ass & put them in a jam for '08.

Funny to see the various factions trying to distance themselves from BushCo and painting the epic failures of the admin as not "really" being "conservative" the whole time. Not working though! Amusing FR mudwrestling complete with various failed attempts at peacemaking here!

Conservatives have a base, and if Repubs do not want to fight for the base then they can go pissoff!! Newt Gingrinch came up with the "Contract With America" Almost everyone of those issue are now out the window for repubs because repubs let them die. Well fine repubs if you won't stand up for conservatives principles we won't hire you anymore to represent us, because politically you want to "get along" with B.S. policies!!

They got both Supreme Court appointees through with no fillibuster, and an additional 10 federal judgeships. In fact, before the Gang of 14 deal was made, 95% of Bush appointees were approved in the Senate without a fillibuster.
