Could the GOP be subject to RICO prosecution?
There have been previous cases where RICO was used to go after individuals involved in election fraud.

Could the pattern of illegal activity from recent elections (phone-jamming, robocalls, voter intimidation, and vote rigging) expose the entire GOP leadership to possible prosecution under federal racketeering laws?

Of course, this will likely need to wait for 2009 and a Democratic-run DoJ, but couldn't Congress start laying the groundwork now?

2. Yes, but a political party is not a protected government entity.
I think RICO might be applicable to the republican criminal evil-doers.

3. I do think organized crime has found a home in the RNC.
So, yes, I think they could be liable to prosecution under the RICO statutes.

4. Somebody else brought that up recently on the radio.
If Bush can't be impeached because of time pressures, most likely he can be prosecuted under RICO even after he leaves office. But, I will leave it to the lawyers to weigh in on this one as I'm just conjecturing.

5. Rico is being used to go after bushco.
But not for vote/election stuff. There actions in regards to their 'business' practices at Haliburton/KBR/State Street Bank are the focus of a RICO investigation currently underway.
For more info read the IdesofOctober and CorpGov Activist journals:

They are long and sometimes tedious but a good read none the less.Be sure to follow links provided.

7. The term "Al Qaeda" was essentially created so the US could use RICO to go after them...
Perhaps we should include the GOP as part of "Al Qaeda" being as they are working to attack our freedom and destroy our democracy.
