I'm getting sick of all the repuke characters/actors |
|
on all the investment commercials on TV
these financial companies are so predatory that their current SOPs would have been illegal for most of modern history
and yet every five minutes I get one of them crowing about their wealth, their possessions and how smart they are for letting XYZ bank invest their money for them.
it's capitalist arrogance and a slap in the face to most AMericans who have been systematically screwed OUT of their wealth, often by these same financial organizations and, one suspects, by the narcissists they feature in their advertising.
But then, I'm just a pissed-off person.

1. Add that to the reform list |
|
Predatory lending, "PayDay Lenders," Credit Card "gotcha" Usury Rates need all be reviewed in the next few years and see what can be done about them. South Dakota (a rural state that has attracted Credit card companies) may benefit with 28%+ APR, but others don't. I quit using credit cards years ago and have one just in case.

But the DLC, Biden, et al, were big sponsors of the legalized usury laws.

4. If I had any money, I'd check into it |
|
but I'm the dying part of the dying middle class
when I had any money, I was conscientious about green investing. When the coup of 2000 came along, I knew I could make a bundle if I put my money into oil stocks or Halliburton or any other Carlyle Group holdings. But I wouldn't.
I just hate (yes, *hate*) the happy little smug repukes who brag about how much money they've made with their money as they sit on the porch of their McMansion or pile into their SUV for a drive into town, or jump on a plane to travel the rest of their life away . . . knowing as I do that they only made money by virtue of the war profiteers, the oil companies or the corporations that are shipping American jobs into third-world oblivion.
the repuke ideal. And it pisses me off more than I can begin to describe.
