I know I promised all of you I'd keep on top of it, but I'm having trouble keeping up with the Coach's lightning posting pace.

It’s been some time now since I’ve had a chance to let you know what we’re working on these days. I hope your summer was as enjoyable and productive as mine. I spent August traveling around the country, visiting with our members and listening to people. What I heard they want is for us to do something about border security, national security and gasoline prices. I could also see that our conservative base is motivated for this November while Democrats are not because they don’t stand for anything.

If the information we have read about the behavior of Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., seems as obvious to a jury as it does to me, he deserves to be vigorously prosecuted. I do not want to do anything that will interfere with that prosecution.

Hello, everyone. We had another busy week here in the House of Representatives. We spent a lot of time talking about the gas crisis which is happening across America. And it really is a crisis. Gas is over $3 a gallon in many parts of the country. Our families are hurting. Our businesses are hurting. It’s placing a real drain on the monthly budget. Our economy is strong, and we want to keep it that way. And that means getting a handle on our nation’s energy problem. I’ve talked to our Republican members about this a lot, and we want to do everything in our power to help.

Hello everybody. It’s been a busy week here on Capitol Hill. I’m sure you have all seen the debate going on across the country concerning border security. The Democrats have tried to misrepresent what our views are. So I want to take a minute just to set the record straight.

that guy needs to slow down. I don't know how he keeps up with such a hyperactive blogging schedule. And I'm also amazed at how he's been consistently posting since the Foley scandal broke.

I have been told by my source in Washington. The Ethics Committee will slap Hastert hands in the Foley Matter.
