3. Kent State happened in May, 1970
and we were finally thrown out of Vietnam in 1975.

We were mostly out of there by then, only had the embassy and the Marines guarding them.

4. Too long. Then, as now, the will of the people don't matter until
the 'brains' recognize that it does.

6.  Don't forget Jackson State.
That happened just days after the murders at Kent State.

bombing and supplying the corrupt South Vietnamese government with weapons and economic aid. So in many ways the US war against the people of Vietnam continued, until they were finally able to rid their homeland of the US invaders once and for all.

I will never forget reading and watching the news of the last US bombardment of Vietnam, during Christmas season, 1972. It was brutal and inhuman.

8. Richard Nixon deliberately
kept us in Viet Nam until after his re-election in 1972. He knew in 1970 that it was not winnable. It disgusts me that he is thought of as a statesman now that he's dead!

9. Johnson was no less disgusting. They both lied every time they opened their
mouths about Vietnam.
