Freakers Excited about new Faux Right Wing Satire Show
Edited on Mon Nov-20-06 08:45 AM by maxrandb
Sorry folks, but I just found this too funny not to share. One DUer on another post about this satire show made a statement about how hard it is to make racism funny, but sure enough, I checked out Freaker RepukeliKK and found these gems. Enjoy. It's going to a fun ride these next couple of years.

Heck, they can get their jokes right here.

I'd like to see a segment where they interview Democrats in Maryland to imply, since they rejected Kwiesi Mfume and Michael Steele, that they are racists.

Heck, the conservatives wanted the black guy both times - once to muck up the Dem primary and the second time to defeat the Dems altogether. But, no, it's Tennessee that's supposedly racist, not Maryland.

It seems to be a very good idea, and one where FR could be a big help. We have lots of skilled and intelligent writers, a number of whom can be very funny. We could organize a thread where we could brainstorm ideas for this show, and have them polished by some of our members involved in TV writing. Then some of us who have connections with some Fox people could arrange for these ideas to be properly submitted to FNC, since TV shows are very wary of unsolicited scripts from unknowns, for legal reasons and because they tend to be unusable.
You know how bad the writing is on TV, with 200,000 posters we should be able to beat what is out there!! Maybe get a few bucks too!

<With the Freakers helping to co-write this show, it ought to be as funny as...oh I don't know...sending fake Anthrax thru the mail. That's a side-splitter>

Here's a couple more:

My idea for a great comedy show is to use the YouTube example as a guidepost. IOW, play short clips of no more than about 5 minutes each parodying whatever is happening in the news and media. One example would be when Katie Couric was interviewing the priest of Mark Foley and asking him about how he massaged Foley with his hands, etc.. I would have presented a parody where Katie goes beyond that and asked if the priest massaged the inside of Foley's thighs and whether he gave Foley a tongue bath. All the while Katie is getting hotter and hotter until she can't even do her broadcast because she is moaning in ecstasy at the images she is conjuring up while questioning the priest.
Another great parody clip would be when Nancy Pelosi (made up like the Joker) announces that Steny Hoyer has been elected Majority Leader while Murtha is angrily standing in the background. Murtha is getting angrier and angrier until he can't stand it any more and wrestles Hoyer to the ground while yelling that they must now all learn to work together.

The incident where Chuck Schumer told Kerry to get lost in the Senate hallway would also be great for parody. Maybe have a hurt looking Kerry in the background scream "PLEASE!" and a somewhat chastened Schumer returns and tosses Kerry a towel in a way reminiscent to that old cola commercial where the football player tosses a kid his towel outside the locker room.

People also want 24/7 news channels that truly are always "all neutral, all of the time", and even the Fox News Channel doesn't really go as far as that. In fact, the Fox News Channel continues to slowly trend more to the left politically every year.

1. Funny as a funeral. Funnier than a crutch.

9. This is what happens when you spend too much time in your
mom's basement looking at internet porn, or Freaker Republikkk. I got a rather foul visual when I read the Freakers idea about the Katie Couric skit.

Things that make you go...."Bbbblllllllrrrrrgggghhhh"

4. I don't see it working, because
repukes/RWers/freepers are inherently un-funny.

I hope Stewart satarizes the Fox show itself. Kinda a double-satarization, or a loop-back satarization, if you will.

7. Faux May be On To Something
Given:
- what these people think is funny
- what Faux is capable of doing
we may have a match.

I predict that the biggest problem will be when the actors have to read the spelling(?) of the scripts. They might inadvertantly re-invent Woody Allen's "I have a gub" scene.

8. Let's see...
What will undoubtedbly be a bunch of classist white people basically making fun of people who traditionally don't have much power or less power than them - along with jokes about racism we can expect to see some funny stuff on sexism, homosexuality, and homeless people I'm sure will provide some fodder for them. The problem with right-wingers is that they don't understand that satire doesn't work when you try to use it against those with less power than you.

10. It will be about as funny as
Rush making fun of Michael J. Fox.

But then again, that is something the right-wing finds funny. Kind of say alot about their values doesn't it.

Like we say in the Navy; "that's about as funny as dick cancer".

13. the comment about Mfume and Steele shows just how racist Freepers are...
Whether it's "he's black, so he's probably been to jail" or "he's black, so other blacks will vote for him," it's the same racism: the only thing that matters is his skin color.

They can't imagine that blacks would actually be smart enough to ask for more than just a black face. "Hey, he's black, what more do you monkeys want?"

Someone needs to tell this Freaker that in order to brainstorm you need to have a brain, MORAN!

15. They don't understand satire
The best they've been able to come up with so far is Dennis Miller. I don't think "The Daily Show" has anything to worry about.

18. They'd better all tune in
But shows that don't garner an audience larger than three figures don't tend to last very long, in any event. So watch fast, Freepers.
