We decide over the next two years which group of Democrats will prevail in January 2009.

William Greider once asked, "Who will tell the people?"

Will you?

1. The equation will remain the same when *I* vote

primaries are the place to expose the candidates and fight it out. After that choice is made, the surviving Democrat will always get my vote against the republican. The republican party isn't going to change in my lifetime, so I won't be changing any of that.

The 'protecting' you speak of is a political line you want to draw. Very few Democrats will be actually "protecting" Bush Inc. They may not vote as we wish. They may not throw themselves in the road over an obvious losing legislative effort. But the "protecting" will be a perception based on how strongly you feel about the issue which was denied action, or furthered by the individual legislators or candidates.

Very few Democrats will directly "protect " Bush Inc. in their lame-duck swan song.

2. Legislative efforts is not my concern. It's executive power that can be used to
open books or close them, scrutinize crimes of office or downplay crimes of office.

It's about manipulating voters with rhetoric or repecting CITIZENS with the truth.

It's really that simple.

3. I think that this is something we all have to watch closely, especially
now that the Executive Branch has been expanded to include the whole Bush Family and its retainers. This situation throws "lame-duck-ness" into a cocked hat. When an outside entity comes in a takes over the Executive Branch (which is what has happened), then the whole idea of "lawful government" is in question. We need to keep an eye on who takes orders from the Bush Family and who doesn't...

4. The past is prologue - what happened after Bush1 that allowed for a Bush2
to be thrust upon this nation?

6. Yes - but his allies are the ones seeking the White House and they are the ones
who brought us Bush2 in the first place, so in many ways, Lieberman will have the last laugh.
