3. Ironic but I would tend to vote NO because
people like santorum and delay and allen and inhofe and on and on and on love war and if that meant getting their own kids killed, well so be it. I think its very fair to say that "christian conservatives" don't give a fuck about you after you are born. "Christians" love to go to war against "ragheads" and the prolifers don't care how many lives such activity will take.

4. True and the vote shows that
people with access to computers do not want the draft.

5. No a draft will not stop wars
Edited on Mon Nov-20-06 11:46 AM by EdwardM
It will just give them more pawns for our war with Iran, Syria, North Korea and whatever else is next. There is always someone evil out there, and there is always someone to fight. The war will never end.

7. It May Not Stop War
But it sure would make war a part of everyone's life not just those who have family members over there. Perhaps the rich will keep their kids out, but at least they will have to think about war. Personally, I know nobody in Iraq. Have met a few people at war protests whose children are over there, but if I didn't protest the war, I wouldn't have known of anyone. And I don't believe I am unique. Until the war is in more American faces, it will continue, imho.

6. Those who approve these wars never have to fight them
They also find creative ways to keep their kids from serving as well.
