IBM Worker Says He Was Fired for Chat Room Addiction
Edited on Mon Nov-20-06 01:16 PM by LoZoccolo
In the lawsuit, the former employee admits that he spent time in chat rooms during work hours, but claims his behavior is the result of an addiction and that IBM should have offered him counseling instead of firing him.

3. and I guess if someone spends all day on his lunch break...
it's not because he's lazy and doesn't want to do any work, but rather because he has a food addiction?

5. Hey, I'm sure that IBM will pay his $5 million. When they fired..no downsized..
tens of thousands of us long-term workers over age 53, they appealled Cooper vs. IBM until they won.
