http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i61fccc799efa3cb7cc70027d80722adfthese knuckleheads at FOX just don't get it. Or more likely, DO get it and know that their audience is soo stupid to NOT get it - and WILL watch a PARODY of a PARODY. What dumbasses.

3. ... and the truth tips left. It's true - it's always been a fundamental advantage... |
|
... while the other side's fundamental advantage is that lying gives you more flexibility.

Honestly believe the crap they spew most of the time ... Once you go to the dark side, it just consumes you ...
Olbermann shows a clip of Bushco saying "Stay the course was never our policy" ... Then shows 20 clips of him saying Stay the Course, and the right screams he is biased ...

7. I don't think they're smart enough to do satire |
|
Satire works when it's directed against people in power, and normally when those people are not doing their jobs correctly. The humor of the right is not satire - it's mean-spirited directed against those who have traditionally not had power, and you can hold Limbaugh up as the leader in that - making fun of other races, calling a 13-year-old girl a dog, making fun of people with disabilities, the poor, etc. That's their humor; it gets the laughs, and we all lower ourselves to it sometimes, but it's lowbrow. Satire will be beyond them.

It's a lefty show. So is Colbert. NPR and CNN are not. Stewart will never attack a dem the way he goes after Bush. Probably no Dem will ever deserve it, but he's going to really miss ol Bunnypants.

9. I have seen them make fun of Dems |
|
and I would bet that they would go after Dems the same way if the Dems end up doing the same horrible stuff the Repukes are doing now.

10. Uncomfortable facts are almost always arguments for left-wing ideas. |
|
That's why they're so "uncomfortable" to people who own media networks and newspapers.

shows that most of what they find funny is a lying put down or people for who they are. And that isn't funny. Funny is punching through to a truth.
I'm calling it right now... that show will be pathetic. Think of the joke Laura Bush was given about Bush milking a male horse. That is their best stuff.
They did the same thing with a local Canadian comic and bought him out and put him on their neocon network to make fun of the Liberals. That show didn't last more than a few months because they killed any humour that guy had by making him attack Liberals all the time.

14. It won't work. RW satire will be painfully un-funny. Who can they make |
|
fun of? Elderly? Disabled? The hungry? Homeless? Veterans? Who else... blacks, latinos, immigrants, I can't wait for the side-splitting humor of a Fox show.
