asteroid may be on a collision course with Earth? http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=364&topic_id=2752271I could add a whole lot of other reasons an asteroid would be just the thing for an Earth "correction". When Kramer is screaming the "N-word", it's time. Maybe I'll get my wish.

Life is all entertainment. All the serious stuff we do is to do the fun crap. If you don't know that now, you'll learn it someday.

And there are plenty of good people on this planet. I happen to think I am one of them. But as a whole, humans, for all our intelligence, are nothing more than a daycare full of 2 year-olds all wrestling for someone else's toys or casting stick and stones, saying words that still hurt us.
This is the 21st Century and yet humans have acheived nothing more than immaturity.
As I said in my OP, there are plenty of reasons I could list for why this planet needs a correction, and humans are at the root of every single one of them. The first on that list would be religion.

meant to sound acerbic. I don't mean to sound bitter.
I'm just lamenting my own existance and now that I am getting older, I'm kind of disappointed that I couldn't be more proud of being human. Perhaps humanity is headed toward Utopia. I'm sad I have not lived in a time where that is the reality.

13. I Hear Ya. But With All Due Seriousness, |
|
the reason I objected the way I had to the wipe off the face of the earth mentality is because I too feel on a superior level of insight and awareness at times and get frustrated with those who aren't as well. But I never wish them harm. I always view it as they do the best they can with who they are and that overall there is still an overwhelming amount of beauty to be found within the human race, despite their flaws. You just have to know what mentality to look upon them with.
I've learned many years ago to not expect others to think like me, act like me or have the capability or desire to view things as I do. All of us are going down our own paths, in our own way, in our own time for our own reasons. Some of us have additional abilities to view things objectively and from a higher level than others, but we too are still fundamentally way down the ladder of levels than the peak of such levels. We all have much to learn and have long ways to go, even if some have longer ways than others. But in the end of it all, we are all just going down our own paths trying to figure things out as we go. There is much stupidity, ignorance and evil in the world. There is also an amazing amount of beauty and spirit lifting wonder that can be found. Those of us who consider ourselves to be on a higher level should reach out to those and help teach, as we ourselves seek out to constantly acquire greater wisdom. Viewing them as beneath us or unworthy does nothing but propagate bitterness and animosity. Those of us that are wiser need to help heal, educate and love them for being flawed yet beautiful. For being in need of support and guidance. We have the gift of awareness to pass on, not to use as reason to shun.
I know I just said all this half assed and nonsensical as hell, but that's what I get for trying to type something deep in 10 seconds flat while my wife is yellin at me to get the heck upstairs to watch the kids LOL.
For the record though, I'm glad you responded to my last reply with lightheartedness, since that was in fact how I meant it. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up LOL

14. Do you get up in the morning looking for this stuff? |
|
Don't let it bother you, perhaps this is just our practice world, and in the afterlife we get it right.
On the other hand maybe this is God's practice world and the comet/asteroid is just his eraser!
But then again I am an agnostic, so what do I know about any of it?

we are doomed--no, supposedly we will get a close fly by soon. Do hold your breath! My calculations indicate that if we all inhale at the same time we could just dodge the impact. Be prepared! More later...

10. They Would Be Considered Either Depending On Which Context You Were Referring To. |
|
If you were referring to the asteroids themselves, I'd think unknown knowns would be ok (unknown trajectory of object groups known to exist). However, if you were referring to the trajectories of the objects, I'd consider known unknowns to be accurate (known object groups with unknown trajectories). So to me both could be used depending on whether you were referring on a whole scale to the objects or the trajectories of those objects.
