Coincidence? Election over, gas prices up again
If you were a little suspicious of the way in which gasoline prices just happened to dive just before this month's midterm elections, this bit of news won't exactly put your mind at ease: After dropping 84 cents between Aug. 11 and Nov. 3, gas prices are up five cents in the first Lundberg Survey released after the Nov. 7 election.

Trilby Lundberg tells CNN that the reversal in the 12-week pre-election slide shows that the market has "soaked up" a "mini-glut" of crude oil from August, causing a "normalization" of supply and demand.

1. And with oil at something like $55/barrel, prices are badly inflated.

9. I hope I didn't imply that the lowest we got was 2.05
I said "back to 2.05".

It bottomed out here at over 2.60/2.85.

The lowest ours got to was $2.23.

I thought you meant you were back up to $2.05 which I took to mean it was even lower. Am I mistaken?

On edit: the highest it got here was $3.33.

12. I'm sorry; I'm tripping
trying to do four things at once.

The highest we got was in that 2.65 - 85 range; the lowest we had was 1.85 or so.

4. But what does this
have to do with Tom Cruise getting married? OJ's book? Or any of the really important issues that impact our daily lives?

6. I am so surprised. I believed the Republicans were going
to lower the price some more. How can I ever trust them again.

7. I just heard on CNN over the weekend that gas prices are dropping.
That could be, but it certainly isn't so here. Ours have gone up 20 cents. I'm assuming this is our punishment for being a deep blue state.

16. I, too, ride MAX. And my hubby has a full electric car that he drives.
I only have to fill up once or twice a month, but I keep an eye on those prices. I can't understand the number of single drivers I see out on 26. Are they nutz?

11. People can sell gasoline for whatever price they want to sell it, provided
people will buy it at the price.
