How exactly does the past election qualify as an "amazing performance" by the Republicans?
I know that, at this point, there is probably little reason to debate this point, but I am still quite curious as to how this claim has been made. I've seen the comments: "this was just a sixth term, mid-year election," "you need to check voting records," etc. What I simply still do not understand is the logic behind this. Could anyone who has considered this explain it to me?

1. I was amazed at the total collapse of the GOP nationwide. Does that count?

4. In my mind, yes.
That really was the only thing I could find "amazing" about it.

3. Yeah, the GOPukes and their cable/MSM flunkies ain't giving up
How could you expect them to? There is another election in two more years for all the marbles, and admitting they screwed the pooch for the last six, and got kicked in the butt for it, just ain't gonna happen.

The battle, to paraphrase FAUX News, goes on.

6. Republicans are the Black Knight from Monty Python's Holy Grail...
ARTHUR: Victory is mine!

We thank thee Lord, that in thy merc-
BLACK KNIGHT: Come on then.
ARTHUR: What?
BLACK KNIGHT: Have at you!
ARTHUR: You are indeed brave, Sir knight, but the fight is mine.
BLACK KNIGHT: Oh, had enough, eh?
ARTHUR: Look, you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left.
BLACK KNIGHT: Yes I have.
ARTHUR: Look!
BLACK KNIGHT: Just a flesh wound.

7. It's amazing that there's any Republicans still in office
Perhaps that's what they are referring to. Amazing that every last thug wasn't voted out.
