3. It's pretty boring actually |
|
The robots text file is funny though, it disallows just about EVERYTHING from being put on a search engine.

and bookmarked!
PS: Can anyone explain to me why the Whitehouse is on a commercial server - sharing space with sites like victoriassecret.com, tvland.com, the site for the lemony snickets movie, pittsburgh television, playboyarcade.com, lexus.com, ifilm.com, glennbeck.com and 556 other sites?

9. they are probably sharing the same datacenter, not server |
|
this is normal as you want big sites to be hosted in big, reputable, datacenters.

10. Oh, I realize that Akamai |
|
...is a major solution provider. Just the same, I always found it curious that the Senate has it's own server/datacenter. The House has it's own server/datacenter. The Library of Congress has it's own server/datacenter. The DOJ has it's own server. But the White House has it's stuff over @ Akamai.
I dunno. I guess because the WH gets more traffic, like you said.

I don't see anything that you couldn't find by simply doing a search on whitehouse.gov
