What's up with this? First the media told people to vote for Bush "'cuz he's a guy to have a beer with." Then they smeared Gore and Kerry as being "too elite to have a beer with".


NOW--they're glorifying Obama and Laura Bush as "smokers....just like you and me" and those 'elitists-politically correct people--Gore and Kerry are just not Presidential AND like us"

6. This is off topic, but it'll keep this kicked for you. ;-)

Your copy/paste issue is bewildering to me. Would you take a moment and tell me what operating system you're running (include version if you know it) and what browser (include version number, please) you're running. Also, have you installed any software recently, especially any which you installed just before this issue.

10. Hi, nope, I missed your reply as I was focused on the OP's

problem and was just scanning. :blush: The OP has had this problem consistently for several days now.

I was able to copy and paste directly from the site without an issue. As I was able to do the same another time the OP had problems.

I use Firefox 1.5.0.8.

8. Pretty simple really - people believe that you are more sympathetic if you share

common traits.

Some could say that is why a woman candidate might make women feel more comfortable (although rice is a woman...). You have something in common.

What does the avg joe have in common with most people in power politics (that they see/know about)?

Family. Clothing style? Smoking? Drinking? Favorite TV show? etc and so on.

That is why to get the fundies on board people parade out their kids, show a bible here and there, and so on. You want people to identify with you.

There are a lot of smokers (and gun owners too I might add). Connecting with them probably wouldn't hurt.
