And here's to Pensive. I may not know much about art, but I know what I like.

29. I agree - Pensive's film noir tone is beautiful

it's striking and bold. The film noir look has been getting popular recently in tv and movies - and this is a classic example of why.

I also really like Resident Mute Swan - it is an untraditional silhouette - and the graceful composure of the swan speaks of peacefulness and tranquility even as the ripples in the background suggest it may be disturbed. In my opinion, very well done.

What does everyone else think - which pieces do you like and why?

I love the fact that Dude seems to be a statue in the middle of nowhere. It conjures up visions of long forgotten battles - I would love to know where it is and what it is commemorating.

37. I think "Royal Oak" has a nice "Citizen Kane" look to it.

Kind of reminds me of the open and close of that movie, with an immense empire sinking into oblivion. Kind of like the Bush Presidency. (C'mon, I had to say something political.)
